Welcome to Thought Potential - my representational reality.

Bio
I started photography the summer before my senior year of college in 2005. Since then I have fallen madly for the art. I realized the extent of my passion when I went to sleep one night dreaming about photography, woke up thinking about photography, and had breakfast while reading about photography. Every chance I get photography guides me to new places and people. Although I am mostly self-taught, I have been mentored greatly by many great photographers.

I enjoy all genres, but Street and Decisive Moment photography are my favorites. To me they represent the most fleeting moments that are all but missed in the modern hustle. I find solace working among people and for me the organic photos of everyday life are more enjoyable than studio or landscape work.

Gear
Almost out of principle I use entry-level Canon Rebel dSLR bodies. They are easy to travel with and provide great quality images. People tend to worry too much about megapixels, sensors, and optics curves which shifts the focus away from good photography and knowing your equipment well.

Photographic Prints
Anything seen on this website is available for limited series printing. I work with two printing labs and a professional printmaker that print on a variety of gallery quality archival papers for exhibition. For large prints and new methods I make test prints and work with my printmaker to achieve high quality results. I reprint without hesitation if your or my standards are not met.
